Participation Trophy for “Wurst” Place

Yes, it’s true. We have officially been giving Danny a participation trophy at almost every show we play these days. He just can’t seem to hold his pose during “Green Light, Go!” – the crowd always wins! Today was no different at The Great Wallingford Wurst Festival, and once again we had to break out the trophy to cheer him up… If you haven’t yet been to this super cool (and family friendly) festival, there is still time. They will be rocking out until midnight tonight! For more info, check out their Facebook page:

Tricycle Music Festival

Can we just say that LIBRARIES (and their librarians) ROCK!? We just finished a two-day, four-show, EPIC weekend playing for the San Francisco and San Mateo Library Systems. This is the Tricycle Music Festival’s 5th year, and if you live in or around the Bay Area, you’ve got to check out one (or more!) of their super fun events… For the line-up and days, times and locations, check out their website:
This photo was taken with Portola’s Librarian, Nicole… She even dressed up to match us!

Rockin’ out in Seabrook

Have you heard of the “Zone of Rock”? Well, if not, maybe you haven’t been to one of our shows lately… Here is a clue: it is the space right in front of a live band, designated for rocking out. This weekend our friend Jen from Seabrook drew the boundaries out loud and clear so there was no mistaking it! We had such a great time spending Labor Day weekend in the gorgeous seaside town of Seabrook, WA. We played two super fun shows and even participated in a bike parade! If you haven’t yet been to Seabrook, we totally recommend it for a fantastic way to spend some quality time with family and friends…. Here is a link for more info on our favorite new town:
