We’ve had a fantastic time playing some of our favorite summer concert series like Everett’s Children’s Concert Series at Silverlake, Bonney Lake’s Kids Club Concert Series, Puyallup’s Noon Tunes, and Kent’s Summer Concert Series.
We have also been fortunate enough to play a couple of very special annual events like the 4th of July Celebration at Cal Anderson Park, Awesome Kids Day in Burien, and the super amazing family music festival in Carnation called Timber!
We are proud to have been involved with PNA’s fourth annual Pride Rainbow Hop, kicking off Pride month in Seattle with a family-friendly day of fun!
The weather couldn’t have been nicer as we rocked out in Naked City Brewery’s outdoor beer garden.
We hope our wonderful city continues to find ways for all families to be together and rock out together!
We had another awesome time rocking the fountain lawn stage for the NW Folklife festival with our Kindiependent friends. This has become a wonderful tradition for all of us bands to kick off our busy summers.
This is how we have spent our Memorial Days for many years now and we would like to take a moment to remember those who have served selflessly and honor them for their sacrifice.
Since our last post, we’ve been in the artist spotlight on the Seattle Channel’s ArtZone with Nancy Guppy, we played our last show for this season’s Kids Rock Series at the Mount Baker Community Club, and played a super fun show in Portland, OR at the Village Ballroom.
But….. We spent this weekend in Austin, Texas, (something we’ve been looking forward to for a long time!!), seeing lots of great music and playing a couple of awesome shows for the ever popular and wildly famous South by Southwest Festival. It is a great honor to be here for the second year in a row, and we look forward to coming back to rock the kids of Austin!
Today we celebrated the release of our 6th album, Are You Listening?, with a FREE “sold out” show at The Vera Project and FREE cupcakes from Trophy Cupcakes. Our good friend Nancy Guppy from the Seattle Channel’s Art Zone was there to introduce us. We couldn’t have wished for a better way to introduce this new album to the world!!
What a fabulous year it has been… We traveled more in 2015 than ever before and have rocked the faces of many a city AND continent. We also recorded what we think is our best album yet — Are You Listening? will be released in February of 2016.
We are so excited to be finishing up 2015 at Legoland ringing in the New Year with their Kid’s New Year’s Eve party!
Hope to see you in 2016!!
Today we kicked off the kindiependent Kids Rock Series at the Mount Baker Community Club.
This series is a fantastic way to spend time with your kiddos and experience live music! It runs from December all the way through April (you know, those dark, cold months that make it hard to go play outside)…
Come see a show and rock out to get your body moving!

Wow, we have had a busy fall, full of traveling and exciting opportunities…
After our show in Vegas we went to San Francisco for their annual Tricycle Music Festival. Three of us took the easy route and flew down, but two of us were in charge of driving our equipment down. Trust us, this takes serious packing skills. Two days down and two days back, talk about a serious road trip! We had a great time playing this festival, for the second time, touring the libraries and rocking out with the folks in the Bay Area.
We also had the amazing opportunity to perform from bed (in flannel jammies even!) for #Bedstock to raise awareness for MyMusicRx whose in-hospital and online programs deliver the healing power of music to kids and teens facing cancer and other serious illnesses. Show your support too by sharing this video and donating whatever you can at http://www.mymusicrx.org. Shortly after we got back from SF, we played a show in our neighborhood for the Phinney Ridge Romp — it’s always fun to see familiar faces and hang with the folks from our hood.
Then, it was onto the biggest travel experience of our lives… Our trip to India to play the Buddy Daddy Family Bash near Delhi. A couple of our friends shared the story of our trip on their blogs: The National At-Home Dad Network & City Dads Group — check them out!
Today’s show was at the Seattle Aquarium. We performed alongside a Diving Santa!
Thanks for keeping up with our busy lives! We look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming shows…
Rock On Not-Its Nation!
