This weekend we played at the Vegas Valley Book Festival. We met a bunch of really cool children’s book authors from around the country and had a great time with all the kiddos and families that were there! Here’s a photo of Sarah and Jennie warming up the crowd before the show…
We started our day playing at Klahanie Park in Sammamish. This event had a great lineup of bands: our friends Recess Monkey played first, and a super fun oldies band called Wally and the Beavs played after us.
After that we grabbed a quick lunch and met back up at Springfree Trampoline in Issaquah to rock out for their Family Concert Series. We had a blast jumping on their trampolines and rocking out with these folks. Stay tuned for some cool footage from that concert! We spent this weekend playing the Getty Center’s Garden Concerts for Kids. This was easily one of the most breathtakingly beautiful locations we have ever played. The weather was gorgeous and the crowd came ready to rock out with us! We even spied a few pink tutus in the audience!!
This concert series and the extraordinary museum that hosts it is free to the public. These concerts are brilliant because it gives families a reason to bring their little ones out for an afternoon of music and art.
We love that the Getty has made it possible for everyone to enjoy what it has to offer!
Luckily there was a space for all of us to move inside because… The show must go on!
We’d like to thank the fantastic folks who put on the Tukwila Peanut Butter and Jam Concert Series for keeping us (and those who came out to rock out with us) safe from the weather and for helping bring awesome fun to the kids and families of Tukwila!
We rocked the east side today, playing first at Juanita Beach for the Kirkland Summer Concert Series. We have had the privilege of playing this concert series for many years now, and every time we play we are blown away by the crowd that shows up. This series is also well known in our memories for always bringing out what we like to call the stroller brigade, they even have a specific parking place for strollers!
Our second show was at Beaver Lake in Sammamish, playing for the KidsFirst! Performance Series. We had so much fun dancing with the crowd and rocking out here!
Listen folks, just because the stores are full of school supplies and even some Halloween costumes, that doesn’t mean summer is over just yet! There is still time to catch another concert at one of these fine parks. For more information, check out their websites:

Our Saturday was double booked with two great shows right in our neighborhood! We started our day playing at the Whittier Heights Family Festival in Kirke Park. This was a super fun neighborhood festival with treats from Honore, one of our favorite bakeries (also right in our ‘hood), face painting, and a lot of great families who came out to get down with us!
After that we zipped up the hill to the PhinneyWood Summer Streets Festival to rock out in the middle of the street with the fine folks of the Phinney/Greenwood neighborhoods. We couldn’t think of a better way to spend a summer day…
A big THANKS to everyone who came to one of our shows, you helped make this weekend AWESOME!
Did we mention the beautiful location? We love to pack a lunch and stay for a swim after the show… This concert series is worth the drive, and if you are lucky enough to live close to Thornton A Sullivan Park, there is no reason to miss a great day of sun and music! There are still a couple of weeks left for this series, check out their website for more info:
Today was our debut for the Kent Summer Concerts in their Town Square Plaza. The Town Square Plaza has a great set up, with a grassy area for sitting and having lunch, as well as a splash park that all kids can enjoy. Our friends Recess Monkey wrap up the series next week! We were back in Bonney Lake tonight to play their summer Kids Club series. These guys know how to put on a show! If you find yourself in or around the Bonney Lake area on a Monday evening, check out their cool family concert series. We spent this weekend on the coast in the small, sweet beach town of Seabrook, WA. This weekend was Seabrook’s Gnome Festival and we had a gnome-tastic time helping them celebrate!
