There was a pretty awesome crowd at our show at the Charles Wright Academy this afternoon. Some audience members were jumping up and down, some were dancing, some singing along, and a couple of them who just had to be part of the action!

We can’t think of a better way to ring in the new year than with our friends at the Mount Baker Community Club.
We had a rocking good time!
Here’s a snap shot of our friends Ellie and Annabelle dancing along with us.

Today we had two shows, one on Capitol Hill at Elliott Bay Books, and the other in Auburn at the Auburn Ave. Theater. Both were super fun and holiday-tastic!
Auburn Ave. Theater has many programs, and a lot of them are for the whole family… Check out what they have to offer on their website:
Yes, it’s true. We have officially been giving Danny a participation trophy at almost every show we play these days. He just can’t seem to hold his pose during “Green Light, Go!” – the crowd always wins! Today was no different at The Great Wallingford Wurst Festival, and once again we had to break out the trophy to cheer him up… If you haven’t yet been to this super cool (and family friendly) festival, there is still time. They will be rocking out until midnight tonight! Can we just say that LIBRARIES (and their librarians) ROCK!? We just finished a two-day, four-show, EPIC weekend playing for the San Francisco and San Mateo Library Systems. This is the Tricycle Music Festival’s 5th year, and if you live in or around the Bay Area, you’ve got to check out one (or more!) of their super fun events… For the line-up and days, times and locations, check out their website: http://sfpl.org/mobile.xhtml.php?pg=2000628401
This photo was taken with Portola’s Librarian, Nicole… She even dressed up to match us!
Have you heard of the “Zone of Rock”? Well, if not, maybe you haven’t been to one of our shows lately… Here is a clue: it is the space right in front of a live band, designated for rocking out. This weekend our friend Jen from Seabrook drew the boundaries out loud and clear so there was no mistaking it! We had such a great time spending Labor Day weekend in the gorgeous seaside town of Seabrook, WA. We played two super fun shows and even participated in a bike parade! If you haven’t yet been to Seabrook, we totally recommend it for a fantastic way to spend some quality time with family and friends…. We always love playing in Tukwila for the Peanut Butter & Jam music series! This place is rad, with a huge grassy picnic area, and a super cool spray park, AND the crowd is always ready to ROCK! This is a weekly series, Wednesdays from 12:00-1:00 pm. Next week our friend Caspar Babypants will be playing! Here is more info: http://www.tukwilawa.gov/recreation/eventflyers/Concerts.pdf
PEPSapalooza was so much fun this year! 2000 people, big and small came out to this super fun celebration of a fantastic organization. For more info on PEPSapalooza, or to learn more about the PEPS program and find a group near you, check out their website: http://www.peps.org/about
Today’s show was at Magnuson Park for Obliteride’s finish line festival. We are so honored to have been a part of this amazing fundraiser that is providing donations to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. To learn more about Obliteride, check out their website here:
Today was a three-set-day, first playing two sets for Amazon.com’s employee family day — which just happened to be at Century Link Field! Yep, that’s right, we played on the same field as the Sounders and the Seahawks! Our green room was the MLS locker room (check out the picture!!).
Then, we headed to the east side to play at Crossroads Mall for a radically rockin’ audience! Crossroads Mall has a once a month music series–check out the lineup here: http://www.crossroadsbellevue.com/SpecialEvents/MusicattheMarketStage
