We had a fantastic time today at Lollapalooza! After seeing some incredible bands, and playing a fun set for some cool families, we had the opportunity to meet and have an interview with the Grammy 365 Recording Academy folks…. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!

Once again, the Kirkland Summer Concert Series knocked our socks off with an amazing venue and a wonderful crowd!
This year their children’s concerts are held at Juanita Beach, and it is an absolutely lovely place to spend the day….
One thing we love about playing concerts like these is that it gets us out of the house with our families too, and we are able to experience some of the fabulous things our area has to offer.
Here is a picture of two of Jennie’s girls hanging out during the concert!
Thanks Kirkland for having us back each year, we love you!!
If you’d like to see who will play next at Juanita Beach, check out their website: http://kirklandsummerconcerts.org/#kids
Yesterday we had the honor of kicking off the 2013 Children’s Concert series at Silver Lake in Everett. This is hands down one of our favorite shows to play because the crowd is always amazing (900+ people this year!), AND after we play we get to go swimming in the lake! If you are looking for something fun to do with your family on Thursdays from 10-11am, check out this awesome series. Learn more about it here: http://www.ci.everett.wa.us/default.aspx?ID=1120
Freedom was on display, America was out in full force, however you want to say it, the Fourth of July celebration at Capitol Hill’s Cal Anderson Park was a huge success!
Every year for the last 11 years the Cal Anderson Park Alliance hosts this family-friendly community building event, featuring FREE hot dogs, live music, a pie eating contest, and much, much more. We have been honored to play this event four times so far, and it has become a bit of tradition for us and our families — we can’t imagine a better way to kick off celebrating Independence Day!

After the show we all got together for a little BBQ and hang out time, as well as our own firework show!
Hope you and your family had a great time too….
We just got back from Ann Arbor, Michigan, where we played for the Ann Arbor Summer Festival and hosted a song writing workshop at the local library. We had the kids help us re-write the lyrics to one of our songs using mad lib fill-in-the-blanks describing their favorite things about Ann Arbor! We then performed their song that evening at the live show, and even had some of our song writing friends get up on stage to sing it with us, check out the crowd we all performed for!
Every year for the last 30 years this town hosts this three week festival that is a world-class celebration of arts and entertainment. We are so honored to have been a part of this wonderful Ann Arbor summer tradition!

If you’re in the area, we highly recommend checking it out!
Last weekend we played in Pacific Beach, WA for their very first Coast West Festival. It was so much fun for us and our families to get a chance to spend time together at the beach, and we were so happy to help kick off what we know will be a great tradition for the towns of Seabrook and Pacific Beach! We look forward to visiting again next year…

Pike Market Child Care and Preschool does an annual walk every year, raising money for their school to keep the program accessible to families of all income levels.
We felt so privileged to help them celebrate their achievement of raising over $16,00 by playing their after-walk party at the Showbox!
Their mission is to make quality early learning and family support accessible to families of all economic means.
100% of the WALK contributions will benefit the Tuition Assistance Program, supporting more than 70 percent of PMCCP families.
This photo was taken while we were rockin’ out on stage with the Rainbow Birds… Way to go!
Even though it rained throughout the entire show, everyone still seemed to have fun rockin’ out to all of the Kindie bands that played today… We are so lucky to live in a city that knows how to ROCK! ( even in the rain…)
We had a ROCKIN’ good time at Kidspace tonight! The kiddos even made us this awesome poster… Thanks to everyone who showed up and rocked out with us tonight!!
